Maryland is opening the door for our BOW Collective community to do business with the state and you need to be in the room for this conversation.
Governor Wes Moore and Secretary Walter Simmons are leading a bold new vision for economic opportunity in Maryland. By signing House Bill 1253, the state created the Maryland Department of Social and Economic Mobility, the first cabinet-level agency in the nation dedicated to breaking down structural barriers to upward mobility.
This groundbreaking agency brings together the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Affairs, the Office of Social Equity, and the Office of Minority Business Enterprises within the Maryland Department of Transportation. The result is a stronger, more coordinated effort to expand access, equity, and economic opportunity for individuals and small businesses across the state.
