Changes in 2026
This is how we BOW
The focus of BOW 2.0 is to develop healthy, sustainable enterprise-level businesses.
This shifts our content to align with where members are currently (based on assessment data) and give them the tools necessary to grow to where they want to be.
We are still committed to growing and scaling businesses. But we are also including other metrics in addition to revenue that indicate healthy businesses.
2025 was a hugely impactful year for Black women and Black women business owners. Over a third of our members reported experiencing significant financial hits -- and many of us had to make hard decisions around staffing, resources and in some cases shifting our business models entirely.
We realized that it wasn't enough to be million dollar businesses.
We had to have healthy, enterprise level businesses that could withstand shifts and large scale change.
This means we have to ensure our members have the infrastructure necessary to be sustainable, scalable and sellable.
BOW 2.0 is our commitment to that focus.
BOW 2.0 is focusing less on revenue distinctions or levels (SHSH, SBO, BOW) and broadening our descriptions of businesses based on where they are in their journey to become enterprise level organizations (Start Up, Early, Mid-Level, Advanced, Enterprise).
The BOW Collective has always been and will continue to be ONE BOW Sisterhood. BOW 2.0 will enable us to strengthen our community ties while collectively learning, growing and developing ourselves and our businesses.
We will continue to celebrate revenue growth by acknowledging those who grow their businesses by 20% or more each year and those who graduate from one revenue threshold to another.
